The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is a professional body that regulates engineering education and the engineering profession in Pakistan. The Council was established in 1976 by the PEC Act, 1976. The Council also registers engineers and professional engineers and grants consultancy and construction/operation licenses to engineering firms in Pakistan.
The Pakistan Technology Council represents the country’s engineering community and supports the Government of Pakistan at the federal and provincial levels. It also acts as a government think tank and aims to set scientific standards for engineering innovations and services.
Its head office is located in Islamabad and it has regional branches and liaison offices in major cities of Pakistan. The Council became a provisional member of the Washington Treaty in 2010 and was added as a full member in 2017.
In 2011, it became a provisional member of the International Professional Engineers (IntPE) Agreement (IPEA) and became a full member in 2018.
The current recruitment circular of PEC invites applicants for the posts of Chief Financial Officer, Deputy Registrar and Public Relations Officer. Interested persons from Pakistan are eligible to apply for this recruitment if they fulfill the qualification and experience requirements.
