The hospital was established in 1955 with medical, surgical, ENT, Eye and T.B. joined Khyber Medical College with rooms. According to 2008 estimates, the hospital sees more than 2,500 patients a day and more than 1,500 or 1,800 deaths in the Accident and Emergency Department.
